About the Author

I’m a 27-year-old female Homo sapiens.  Lifelong nature lover, world traveler, zoologist, foodie, scuba enthusiast and certified Divemaster, lover of books, and herder of cats.

I have recently returned to my native Pacific Northwest after spending three years living and studying in northern Queensland, Australia. During my time there I obtained my master’s degree in zoology and had a lot of awesome adventures. I’ve always loved the Pacific Northwest, but now Australia is in my blood. It’s difficult to be back here after years away, but I am looking forward to future chapters in my life that will contain further adventures.

I do have a lot of positives in my life. I have an awesome Aussie fiance who is my best friend in the whole entire world (besides my sister, of course) and we have two kitty children. I’m so excited to spend the rest of my life adventuring around the globe with him.

Apart from the world traveller and scuba enthusiast (both of which I plan to do one day! :)) this sounds like something I would have written! 🙂 I have already begun to herd cats, and am studying Animal Behaviour at University in South Australia! Would have loved to do Zoology, but they unfortunately don’t run any such course in SA! I really like the sound of the direction your blog is going, consider me subscribed! ^_^

Thanks, I’m glad you like it already! I have a lot of ideas for future posts, so I’m pretty excited to be doing this. I’ll check out your blog too. Good luck with university, and becoming a world traveler and scuba diver!
